What we do
Bed bugs and their eggs die when held above 50 °C for long enough. We bring in electric heaters and fans, raise the room to temperature and hold it there while sensors track the coolest spots, such as inside the mattress and behind the headboard. Nothing is sprayed on your bedding. Hard-to-heat items get a separate, targeted treatment.
What to expect on the day
Treatment runs for most of a working day and the room is out of use until it cools down in the evening. You will not need to throw anything away. We return two weeks later to inspect again, because that is when any survivor would show up. A small number of cases need a second round, and that is included.
How to prepare
Remove anything that could melt or be damaged by heat: candles, aerosols, medicines, vinyl records and houseplants. Leave clothes and bedding where they are, as they are treated in place. Do not move furniture to other rooms, as this spreads the problem. If you run a short-term rental, block the dates in your calendar before we arrive.
