What we do
Mice fit through a gap the width of a pencil, so traps alone rarely end a problem. We inspect the roofline, airbricks, pipe runs and garage doors, then seal every gap we find with steel wool, mesh and mortar. Inside, we set tamper-resistant traps along the runs the droppings point to, and record where each one sits so the follow-up is quick.
What to expect on the day
Plan for half a day. Some of the work is on ladders outside and some is in the loft, so we will need access to both. We photograph each repair so you can see what was done. Two follow-up visits over the next three weeks check the traps, remove catches and confirm the activity has stopped.
How to prepare
Clear a path to the loft hatch and the boiler cupboard. Store food in sealed containers, including pet food and bird seed. Note any scratching noises: the time of night and the wall they come from help us find the route in. Please do not put down your own poison before we visit, as it makes the trail harder to read.
